A Pantheon fansite dedicated to Vinod Chanda
Born on the 5th of April to Preethi Chanda and her unnamed husband, Vinod Chanda was a gifted, yet lonely and emotional child. Despite bringing awards, trophies, and certificates home for his technological prowess, Chanda struggled to control his anger and make connections with other people. To take his anger out, he punched the wall until his knuckles bled, or he got tired, taking up boxing later in life to help him take his anger out in a healthier way and focus. Preethi, described by her son as "quite good" at chess, taught him to play it. According to certificates seen on his mother's apartment, Chanda attended a national institute and graduated from the Academy Of Technology, an undergraduate engineering college in India. He went on to recieve a job at Alliance Telecom shortly after, becoming one of their top engineers. Not long before the events of Pantheon, Chanda's father passed away from unknown causes.
In Toronto, Canada, Chanda attended a breakfast meeting with a rival company to Alliance Telecom. While he stated that as far as he knew, Alliance wasn't developing or patenting Uploaded Intelligence- just researching it, he knew that whoever is developing it, they'd change the world. He explained to the rival company the benefits that UI could have on humanity, which include UIs becoming the new workforce, allowing humanity to be in retirement, reaping the benefits of UI labor as they kick back. The three representatives of the rival company offer Chanda a new job, giving him more than what Prasad could. While the offer seemed tempting and generous to Chanda, he did not wholly accept it, but rather showed that he'd be willing to. After leaving the diner where he had the breakfast meeting for his flight, he is lured to the wrong car and kidnapped on Ajit Prasad, Chanda's boss and the CEO of Alliance Telecom's, orders.
